Chris Jones AKA “Overcast Radio”, a well known creator of music for many television shows, takes a stab at Reggae remix production to great effect. A dark, eerie soundscape is used to re-frame the pervasive question: “Are you listening?”
BIONIK sings the chorus on this one, while MC ZULU delivers spoken word prose addressing the various reasons for violence in the world’s underprivileged neighborhoods.
Marjorie Light is also known by Gingee. She has a passion for traditional Filipino percussion, and she is also an accomplished scratch DJ. The single from her Debut EP Tambol (Party Time Society Records) is remixed here, Electro Reggae style, by MC ZULU.
MC ZULU mixes genres and crosses cultural boundaries with this offering. It combines Low Fidelity All Stars with Public Enemy Number One to create something no one has ever heard.
